Nellie Briggans
Nellie Briggans was born and raised in Coffeyville where she
attended Cleveland School through the eighth grade. She also attended Roosevelt
Junior High and Field Kindly High School. She was married for 36 years to
Lawrence Briggans before he died. They raised a blended family of eight sons and
three daughters.
Briggans has always been an avid reader and enjoys writing, sewing, crocheting, gardening, exercising and working with children. She now has 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She retired from Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and is a volunteer and councilor at Midwest Pregnancy Care Center.
