My name is Ruth Aline Ames. I was born in Nowata County, Oklahoma.
My father's name was Charles Transue and my mother's name was Louesa (Frantz)
Transue. They had nine children and I was the eighth. One daughter
died at birth. They were farmers all their lives. I was married to
Vernon Ames for 53 years before he died. We had one daughter who married
Ed Pruitt and they had one daughter who graduated from Oklahoma State University
as a doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I enjoy writing children's stories and
I currently ventured in writing poetry as well as human interest stories.
